Digital Photography has made high quality Photography
available and accessible to everyone, but just because you have
bought an SLR Camera, do you know how to use it, and use it well?
I'm offering tuition for anyone with a Camera, whether it's a small
point-and-shoot, Hybrid or SLR, I can teach you some of the basics
of photography so that you can improve your photos.
I can cover the Camera Settings, Shutter Speeds, Apertures, F-Stops,
ISO's and more.
I can teach you about composition and framing, lighting - both
natural and artificial - and also how to take good portrait photos
by working with a model to demonstrate posing.
If working in a studio is more your kind of thing, then that is also
available.

The Basics - 1 to 1 Tuition Session
Photography Basics on location
Want to know how to use your camera?
I provide basic photography tuition that covers the basics of
operating your camera.
This includes, an overview of the various settings, what they do and
how they effect your images.
The basics of composition, how to compose your images, the 'rules',
and what to look out for.
This can take the form of a sit down meeting or a walk round a local
beauty spot to take photos as we go.
You will also go away with a handout covering the Camera Settings
and Composition rules we cover.
The Tuition takes place in the south of England, either in Surrey or the
surrounding counties of
Sussex, London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent
and Buckinghamshire.
Examples of good locations local to me would be Bookham Downs, Headley Heath and Box Hill etc.

Model (Portrait) Photography - The Basics
Portrait/Model shoot basics on location
This is a tuition session with a model on location.
Ever wanted to learn more about taking photos of a person, whether
they're a model or not?
This session is for those who know how to operate their SLR camera
and want to take their first steps into Portraits or Model shoots.
We cover the basics of where to find models, how to book them,
professional conduct on a shoot, and more.
We work through how to pose someone, whether they're a model or not,
including the best way of directing someone into a pose.
We also cover the basics of lighting, including using natural light,
using a reflector and off camera flash.
Shoot takes place in the south of England, either in Surrey or the
surrounding counties of
Sussex, London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent
and Buckinghamshire.

small non-refundable deposit is required for every booking, enquire for
details.

Travel fees of 40p per mile may be payable if the shoot
is further then 40 miles from Fetcham in Surrey, or
within central London.
