CHOOSING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
I Highly recommend that you don't base your choice of photographer on price
alone and instead choose someone who's work you love.
After all, you want photos that you will be happy with
for the rest of your life.
With that in mind, if you haven't already done so, I would like to ask that
you have a look through my gallery.
WHAT I OFFER
I offer a full days coverage, from Bridal preparations through to your
first dance.
The coverage I offer is a complete service, from initial meetings through to
image enhancing and Album design.
My coverage includes documentary storytelling photography often called
reportage, formal family photos and glossy magazine style bridal portraiture.
I combine these different styles into a complete package, a story told
through pictures that can be printed into an Album for you to keep forever. |
You can see samples of my work in my
gallery
See my latest work on my
blog.
Please take some time to have a look through them.
PRICING
There are many different ways of pricing
wedding photography and there doesn't seem to be a universal way of
doing it.
I personally have chosen to use packages, starting with an entry
level package and working up from there.
My packages start from £1550 which includes all day coverage
with a Wedding Album, the CD of images and more.
Full details of my packages can be obtained by contacting me via the
Contact Page on this site.
Higher packages and various extras are also available, which can
include
Pre & Post Wedding Shoots,
Boudoir
Shoots,
DVD Slideshows, Parent Albums, Framed Prints, un-framed prints and more.

Do you do Formals?
Of course, but I try to keep them snappy and get through them in a
timely manner as I also realise that some people dislike being in
them.
But I don't want any formals.
That's fine too, it's your wedding after all.
How much is your booking fee?
For the packages, a £500 non-refundable booking fee secures the day,
for my other services, it's roughly just under 50% of the total.
Can you hold a date for me, and what's your booking policy?
I'm afraid I don't hold dates and every date is considered open
until I have a completed booking form and a booking fee.
The reason being, if I held your date and then called you saying I
have someone else interested, would you think that I honestly have
another enquiry or would you think I'm trying to pressurise you into
the booking? For that reason I feel it's better to consider all
dates open until they have been booked and I won't say if someone
else is interested in your date or not.
I don’t want you there at the Prep.
No problem, tell me when you want me to start and that’s when I will
arrive.
I’m not keen on doing the posed photos of us two.
Although taking the bride and groom off to do these portraits is my favourite part of the day and often what people
book me for, if that’s not your thing, then that’s fine we don’t
have to do that if you don’t feel comfortable with it.
Do you use an assistant?
I work with an assistant on the vast majority of my weddings as I
enjoy the company. I have
however completed many weddings alone, and should that be the case for
your wedding, rest assured that your coverage will not be affected.
You will still get the High quality photos you see throughout my
site.
How late do you stay?
I stay until a few songs after the first
dance, or until roughly 10pm, whichever comes first. But I always
make sure I am happy with my coverage and that you are happy for me
to finish as well.
What’s the next step?
Send me an email or call me and we’ll have a meeting to discuss the
finer details.
After the meeting, how long do I have to think about it?
I reserve your date for 2 weeks following the meeting, if I get an
enquiry in that time, I will call you. After the 2 weeks, the date
is considered open again.
I can't get to Surrey for a meeting.
If you live in or near Retford, then we’ll meet in Retford,
otherwise, a meeting isn’t strictly necessary and I’m happy to take
the booking without meeting you before the big day.
Surrey or Retford?
Although I live in Surrey, I’m originally from Retford in
Nottinghamshire with strong family connections there. I’m happy to
take wedding bookings in and around the Retford Area so please
contact me about what I can do for you.
I don't charge a Travel fee for Weddings in Retford.
CD’s and Copyright?
My policy with CD’s is to grant you an indefinite licence that
allows you to print and copy the CD and the files upon it to your
hearts content. All files I give on the CD are at full resolution
and ready for printing.
Are you insured?
Absolutely, I have Professional indemnity and Public Liability
Insurance.
Do you have back up equipment?
Yes, I do, I have multiple camera bodies and numerous lenses.
What happens if you're ill?
Unless it's really serious, I'll take some medication and be there
on the day.
And if it's really serious?
I know lots of photographers in the area, plus the assistants I
often use, so in the unlikely event of a serious illness, I'd ask
another photographer to be there on the day who I trust to do a
great job. There's no additional charge for this.
Do you do more then one wedding a day?
No, I only do one a day.
Do you visit the venue before the Wedding day?
If it's a venue I have not been to before, and it's not on the other
side of the country, then yes, I often do a quick scout of the
venue.
Would you be able to meet us at the venue so we can show you what
we would like to do there?
Of course I can do a meeting with you both, it's included as part of
the packages above anyway. I might even bring the camera to get some photos of you both!
If I haven't answered your question above, then
please email me here. |
