I have been a keen photographer for many years and have found it
to be an extension of my art. I have always been able to draw and my
artwork is very important to me. It was during my year at
Mansfield
College
before going to university that I was first introduced to photography as
an Art Form.
Using an SLR Camera for the first time I was able to take
photographs and develop them myself in the College's own lab. It was here
that I first saw the potential in photography and since then it's become an
extension to my art, another way of producing captivating images. At
Humberside
University
I got another chance to experiment with photography and had more lab time.
But it wasn't until after College and University and once I had taken my
artwork forward outside of education that photography became something
greater for me, which arrived in the form of digital cameras.
For me, the digital medium has made photography something even
greater. I had been using Photoshop for many years, and being able to import the
image into Photoshop at the touch of a button and then use the program to
further enhance the image was a revelation. I invested
in better and better equipment and soon found myself on the cusp of a new career
in wedding photography. That was a few years ago, and my Wedding
Photography business has gone from strength to strength, offering an invaluable
and quality service.
For me, Wedding Photography is an important part of the wedding day. The way I
look at it, is that a year down the line after the wedding, you only really have
two things to remind you of that special day, your memories and your
photographs, and you can't show people your memories. It’s for this reason
that I strive to always provide the best photography I possibly can on your
special day, so that you have a set of photos that you can treasure for the rest
of your life.
The importance of Wedding photography really hit home the the summer of 2008
when I myself got married and the job of choosing a photographer fell to me. In
the end I chose someone who's work I loved and respected, and we couldn't be
happier with the result.
Seeing things from the other side of the lens really opened my eyes and it has
helped me refine my own wedding photography.
Currently I live at home in Surrey with my wife Louise, son James and 2 cats,
Poppy and Muffin.
