Why
Belief - I do wedding photography as a job,
not just because I love doing it, not just because I feel
it's a great honour to be a part of someone's special day, a
one off day that I get to be a part of, but also because I
have certain beliefs about your wedding photography.
Stunning Photos - I believe that every couple should have
amazing wedding photos, I believe that they should also have
a trained Artist as their photographer.
It's a once in a life time day and I truly believe that you
should have the best photos you can possibly have.
Control - I also believe that you should be able to take
ownership of those photos, after all, it's your wedding day.
Colourful and Powerful - I also believe that your photos
should be bright and colourful, they should have impact, be
strong and vibrant.
In an industry that's filled with muddy brown or dull
images, I strive to make those colours that you have
laboured over and chosen as your wedding day colour scheme
should shine through bright and strong.
That's not to say I don't do Black & White photos, but again
I buck the trend for dull grey images. Creating instead bold
and powerful Black & Whites rather then middle greys.
What & how
My Approach - I approach each wedding I cover
with an open mind. Each one is different and full of it's
own unique moments. They all progress in their own distinct
way and my job is to capture that for you while remaining
discreet and out of the lime light.
My Photography - I'm primarily an 'available light'
photographer, meaning I rarely have a flash on my camera
blasting away, and certainly never during the ceremony,
preferring to remain discreet and allowing you to
concentrate on your wedding day. When I do use flash, it's
usually 'off camera' on a light stand. In other words, the
way I shoot is designed to be low-impact, not to attract
attention, and designed to create the best works of art
possible.
My Art - You pay for me and my art, so every photo is edited
by me, I check every print and album and hold them to the
highest standards as it's important that you get the very
best from me. You're paying for my art and my vision, so
it's crucial that I'm intimately involved with every part of
the process, from taking the picture to delivery of the
final product.
Answering some of your questions.
How much is your booking fee?
For the packages, a £500 non-refundable booking fee secures
the day, for my other services, it's roughly just under 50%
of the total.
Do you use an assistant?
Yes.
I have however completed many weddings alone, and it has
never adversely affected my coverage of a wedding.
What does your coverage include?
My coverage runs roughly from Preparation through to First
Dance. I start 2 hours before your ceremony begins and
finish by 8pm.
Extra hours can be booked in advance, or on the day of the
wedding if you wish me to stay later.
Are you insured?
Absolutely, I have Professional Indemnity and Public
Liability Insurance.
Do you do more then one wedding a day?
No, I only do one a day.
Do you visit the venue before the Wedding?
Yes, I often do a quick scout of the venue before the
wedding.
Would you be able to meet us at the venue so we can show
you what we would like to do there?
I'm sure something can be arranged.
I might even bring the camera to get some photos of you
both!
